Rough Gene Sequencer will sequence commonly found of gene combination at local pet shop or show. If you are using this software for academic purpose and you are certain of breed's gene pool (3~4 generation and up) You should sequence it manually since Rough Gene Sequencer will sequence diverse gene pool in order to gain maximum possibility.

This is possible gene entry for each Locus gene.

Once Computation is complete, it will give you all possible sequence of gene. Which you may, Copy, Paste, Cut, Save, or Print.

Due to the large calculation task, some match up will requires a lot of time to compute. Please be patient.

Note - While it will print out all possible gene sequence, some sequence is consider as defect, and may not born or survive at all . Please refer to the gerbil genetic article at National Gerbil Society

Q. Is Universal Binaries version planned?

A.Yes, and No... We need to find some justification to invest on Universal Binaries Version... So far, I haven't see any reason. We have to see what happened on future OSX... let say how X.5 or X.6 and beyond will treat older code form PPC Mac.

Q. What is up and coming feature for next version 1.6 or 2.0?

A. We are considering possibility of adding fur pattern count or percentage... but it has been done on other Gerbil Color software.. so it is not strong possibility. We are still open for suggestion.

Q. Do you make Windows version?

A. We have been testing Windows version for sometimes now, and we will likely post Windows version near future.

Q. Can I download source code?

A. No, it is not Open Source Project

A.Yes, please state credit somewhere in your paper. Also, to be accurate on result, please always print out full gene list.

A.Not at this point, if there is number of request, We will compile 68K version.

Exception error which was common on version 1.0.x has been fixed with new memory array. Consequently, memory requirement has increased to 32MB.

Gene Rough sequencer has been added. It will sequence 40 known fur and eye pattern.

Disabled registration modal, it is honor based system now.

Known Issue: Once a while, software experience OutofException Debug error.
